Piyo Class

Starting January 31 we will be offering a PiYo class-Tuesday night at 5:45pm-6:45pm at the Castlegate II Community Center. This is a great way to build community and get to know some of your neighbors! 


PiYo is an incredibly effective body-transformation program that combines Pilates and yoga-inspired moves, all set to a faster pace, so you get your strength, fexibility, and cardio all in each workout. PiYo delivers the long, lean muscles and flat, toned abs of Pilates, a firm butt and strong arms like you'd get from yoga, and the weight-loss benefits of fat-burning cardio. The movement pattern goes from longer (16 count) to shorter and faster (4 count). There is a lot of getting up and down from the floor to standing position. This program will work your core like no other and is great for athletes who want to stretch their hip flexors, IT Band, hamstrings, and lower back. It is great for folks who want to get in a great workout without  pounding on the joints. Classes are one hour  and are $8 per class. Sessions will run 8 weeks allowing for no class the week of Spring Break. There will be one free make up class in case you must miss a scheduled class.
